"Eric's Notes"
This is Rosa's story.

Made is a seaweed farmer and fisherman who lives on Nusa Lembongan, a small Indonesian island. He is also a husband and father of two.
Made and his family are poor, even by Indonesian standards. When ROSA LOVES learned about Made in the fall of 2006, he had to rent a boat each time he went fishing. His catch had to pay for the rental and provide for his family; this is the vicious cycle of poverty.
The writing on the outside of this shirt is an excerpt from a blog post written by our friend Eric Hires while he was in Indonesia. He wrote this the day after he told Made about the ROSA LOVES project, focused on raising the money to buy him his own boat.
Made's story was one of the first two projects ROSA LOVES undertook. Eleven months after releasing the shirt, enough money had been raised to purchase a fishing boat for him. A custom boat was commissioned for Made in Indonesia, and then faithfully delivered by Eric.
That goal was met, but ROSA LOVES continues the mission of serving people in need. This shirt supports the efforts of ROSA LOVES, and is a reflection on the incredible things that are possible when people act in love.
